My son goes to a specialist school - I absolutely detest the words 'special school' because every single person in that school is a 'specialist' as to the individual needs of each student. They are educators who want to be there, they are IT, support staff, catering staff, they all want to be in that setting, nothing phases them.
So that is why I became a Parent Governor, now Chair. I am proud of all that the school does, we have recently been reviewed by Ofsted and retained our 'Good' which was excellent with a newly formed SLT and a school running over capacity.
So I would like to reach out to my network and ask if you would kindly consider donating to enable our young people to go on a school trip and to fund equipment/costs for Duke of Edinburgh - Gold and Silver. Bronze has been ticked off!
